Coral Woman

To extend the conversation on sustainability and climate change to young learners, Avid Learning conceptualized and created an illustrated children’s book called ‘Coral Woman’ under its much-acclaimed series ‘Sustainability NOW’. This educational book aims to shed light on the importance of coral reefs and the very real danger they face by creating awareness among the future stakeholders of our planet. The book is published by HarperCollins Publishers India, written by Lubaina Bandukwala and illustrated by Sanket Pethkar. This book is inspired by Priya Thuvassery’s mesmerising and revealing short film by the same name, telling the story of Uma Mani – a woman who learns to deep sea dive at the age of 50 to fulfil her desire to see the vibrant corals.
