Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore and Kolkata are some of the most influential and impactful cities – overwhelmingly present in India’s urbanscape. Yet, the country’s urban identity and milieu are shaped and influenced by a number of other cities that have cultural importance. Cultural Capitals: Future Legacy of India’s Cities is a series of discussions celebrating the historical and current legacy of culturally rich and diverse cities across India. This series aims to examine a wider swathe of India's great cities, and how they have shaped the nation’s heritage and continue to have tremendous contemporary influence as informed by history, hidden stories and local insights. These discussions cover the fields of art & craft, history & heritage, film & popular culture, architecture & design, cuisine, literature, digital media, business, technology, innovation and more. A few of the cities explored under this series include Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Lucknow, Kohima, Indore, Mysuru, Varanasi, Pudducherry, Srinagar and Pune, among others.
