Films and Photography

Based in Mumbai, the country’s film hub has afforded AVID proximity and access to leading voices from the industry as well as its subcultures. We believe in the power of films to not only entertain but educate, inspire, and empower.  We have collaborated with some of the leading filmmakers, critics, and screenwriters in our workshops and masterclasses, and have supported Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival. Photography as a visual representation of culture brings into focus the often ignored and marginalized details, documenting, both the seen and the unseen aspects of our daily lives. We have championed festivals and biennales such as the Focus Photography Festival. Our masterclasses allow participants to engage with photography as a powerful medium of storytelling. Through our workshops, we have reached out to connoisseurs beyond Mumbai, collaborating with Museo Camera, Centre for Photographic Arts in Gurugram for our NCR audiences.
