Bombay: An Illustrated History by physician, photographer and writer Dr. Jehangir Sorabjee takes centre stage in this session, with the author in conversation with CEO, Avid Learning and Curator, Royal Opera House Asad Lalljee. Drawing from the author’s extensive archive of photographs and observations, the conversation delves into the character of Bombay and the forces that have shaped it, from its changing architecture and landmarks to the rhythms of everyday life and the passage of time. The session offers an intimate portrait of the city, bringing together image, memory and narrative to celebrate Bombay in all its complexity.
