Avid Learning's second collaboration with CultureCon as Outreach Partner reflects a shared commitment to
strengthening India's cultural and creative ecosystem through dialogue,
knowledge exchange, and cross-sector collaboration.
As India's creative economy
continues to expand, employers across the cultural and creative industries are
increasingly asking whether graduates are equipped for the realities of
professional practice. Beyond technical ability, the sector now demands
business acumen, project management, collaboration, critical thinking, client
engagement, and an understanding of how the industry functions. As careers
evolve across disciplines, the conversation is shifting from what institutions
teach to whether they are preparing graduates for sustainable, long-term
success.
Grounded in data and informed by diverse sector
perspectives, this conversation is built on original research gathered through
surveys of employers, hiring managers, students, and recent graduates across
India's creative sector, offering a timely snapshot of the country's creative
skills landscape. Bringing together a diverse panel, this discussion will
examine where education and industry expectations diverge, which skills
employers value most, how institutions can better respond to an evolving
creative economy, and what meaningful collaboration between academia and
industry could look like.
