California Suite: Mumbai Adaptation

Raised in the cultural heart of Bandra, Yashhraj Singh is an artist shaped by both passion and discipline—a creative soul in a sportsman’s body. His journey into the performing arts began early, hosting gatherings at the age of eight and eventually gracing some of India’s most respected stages. In 2013, he began training under Mr. Jeff Goldberg, a pivotal mentorship that evolved into his current role as senior faculty at the Jeff Goldberg Studio. Over the past 12 years, he has performed and directed in over 350 productions at premier venues including NCPA, Prithvi Theatre, Royal Opera House, Kamani Auditorium, Ranga Shankara, and Alliance Française. His directorial repertoire spans acclaimed works such as Guards at the Taj, 12 Angry Jurors, Ode to My Wisdom, and California Suite. He made his film debut in Katru Veliyidai, directed by Mani Ratnam. With a deep command of craft, he exemplifies what it means to lead and excel in the arts.

Born in the historic city of Agra, Aadhar Agarwal began his artistic journey with remarkable determination. At the age of 15, he left home to pursue intensive ballet training at the Central Contemporary Ballet in Gurgaon. In 2022, he relocated to Mumbai, where a significant encounter with Jeff Goldberg marked the beginning of his transition into acting. Aadhar’s versatility is evident in his compelling stage performances and behind-the-scenes contributions. Notable appearances include acclaimed productions such as Guards at the Taj and Suite 111. His screen presence has also made him a recognizable face in commercials for leading brands including KFC, Spotify, and OnePlus. His cinematic debut in The Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar and streaming on Netflix, showcases his range as a performer. With a deep commitment to his craft and a growing body of work, Aadhar continues to leave a lasting impression in both the theatrical and cinematic spheres.

Jeff Goldberg is an award-winning writer, director, and actor whose creative works have received international acclaim. His two feature films as director have garnered numerous official selections and Best Film awards at prestigious international film festivals. As an actor, Jeff has appeared in major Bollywood productions, including Pathaan and Sam Bahadur. His powerful documentary on heroin addiction in Delhi premiered on CNN, further establishing his range and impact as a filmmaker. Jeff’s short films and screenplays have also been celebrated globally, earning recognition at several renowned film festivals. In theatre, he continues to lead as a writer, director, and performer. His notable productions include The Life and Death of Julius Caesar (2022), A Streetcar Named Desire (2018), and The Mumbai Terror Attacks: The David Coleman Headley Story (2018), among others. His work has been featured at respected festivals, including the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival and Tortilla Twister Festival.
