Join Avid Learning for a fascinating masterclass with National Award-winning screenwriter and director Satyanshu Singh and get inspired to write your own web series. Known for writing and directing his acclaimed debut film, ‘Chintu Ka Birthday’, Satyanshu has worked as a script consultant for SonyLiv, apart from working on and mentoring several under-production web series, and teaching filmmaking and screenwriting for more than a decade. In this session, he will cover the fundamentals of developing a web series and share the industry-accepted procedure of pitching your ideas and content to producers and studios.

Satyanshu Singh

National Award-Winning Screenwriter & Director

Satyanshu Singh is a National Award-winning filmmaker, screenwriter and professor of cinema. An MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Satyanshu gave up his job of a doctor in the army and started his professional journey by writing poems for Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Udaan', and lyrics for 'Sulemani Keeda' and 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari'. His directorial debut was Kashmiri short film 'Tamaash'. Satyanshu's first feature film, 'Chintu Ka Birthday', playing on Zee5, has been received very well. Satyanshu has been teaching cinema since 2011. He designed and conducted screenwriting courses at Anupam Kher's 'Actor Prepares' and later, created First Draft, under which he trains screenwriters and directors. He has worked as a Consultant for SonyLiv and is currently directing a major web-series for them. Satyanshu has co-authored a screenwriting textbook that is ready to be published. In 2020, Satyanshu conducted online lectures for coronavirus relief which raised more than Rs 28 Lakhs for more than 40 funds.
