Avid Learning, in partnership with NCPA, Neerupama Properties and Godrej Properties brings you Isheeta Ganguly's, ‘Three Women’,  a Musical Theatre Production based on three iconic women that represent Rabindranath Tagore's Bengali Renaissance, two of whom are fictional and one who is from his own life. Bimala the female protagonist of Tagore’s novella ‘The Home and the World’ and Charu her counterpart from his work, ‘The Broken Nest’, are seen from the perspective of Kadambari Devi, Tagore’s sister-in-law and lifetime muse, as they instigate change from patriarchy towards progression and freedom.

Avantika Akerkar took to the stage in her first role in a play called ‘Lunch Girls’ .Since then Avantika has acted in over 20 plays and many international films: the critically acclaimed film, The Loins of Punjab, and The World Unseen, which premiered at the Toronto Film and the London Film Festivals in 2007. The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, the sequel to the international hit, the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, Rockstar and more. She has worked with Oscar winning actors including Jane Fonda, Marissa Tomei, Judi Dench, Maggie Smith and Richard Gere. And has performed on stage with Eve Ensler in the much-celebrated Vagina Monologues. She’s performed opposite Michael McDowell, Ayesha Dharker and Jesse Metcalfe (of Desperate Housewives fame); and on the local scene, with Shabana Azmi, Konkona Sen, Vijay Raaz, and more. She has also produced plays with noted Israeli Director, Gil Alon, and Royal Court Theatre, London actress, Paddy Navin. Avantika also runs a global consultancy that focuses on soft skills.

Meher Acharia Dar has been a part of Bombay's English Theatre since 1990, having acted with stalwarts like Pearl and Alyque Padamsee, Geoffrey Kendal, Gerson DaCunha etc as well as with contemporary Indian and British Directors like Richard Twyman, Rajit Kapur, Quasar, Anahita Uberoi, Dolly Thakore and Pushan Kripalani. She has also worked in the many ad films for brands such as Surf Excel, Coca Cola, Vodafone, Tata Docomo, Hero Bikes, Airtel, Tata Sky Karaoke, Idea Cellular, Titan, Jet Airways, Citibank, Sunsilk, Birla Cements and Knorr Soups.She's also starred in Luv ka The End, Tum Milo Toh Sahi and Aamras and has alos played a role in upcoming movie Ek Villain.She's been a radio presenter & producer for radio stations like AIR’s 107.1 FM, GO 92.5 FM, 93.5 Red FM and also for Worlds pace Radio's Hindi programming. Isheeta Ganguly

Isheeta Ganguly is a fusion singer of the Indian diaspora who began her musical journey at the tender age of seven and released her first album at the age of fifteen. Raised in the U.S., Turkey, Japan and Indonesia, Isheeta's music weaves together the many threads of her musical journey from her training in Tagore's and Hindustani classical music (under the great maestro, Suchitra Mitra) to her versatile training and performance in jazz, pop and R&B styles throughout her years of growing up in New York. She has released seven widely acclaimed albums since her childhood and more recently recently her first fusion album, "Damaru - I Feel Your Rhythm", arranged by Bollywood music producer Shantanu Moithra and Grammy award winning percussionist Tanmoy Bose, which has remained on top of the Indian international music charts since its release. Isheeta is also a management consultant and the Founder and Executive Director of Neerupama, an organization focused on gender equity and transforming the lives of the girl child from a health, education and arts perspective. She has her BA from Brown University and her Masters in Public Health from Columbia University.
