"Satyanshu Singh is a National Award winning filmmaker, writer and professor of cinema. After completing MBBS from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, he started his life as an aspiring film-maker in Mumbai.
His first project was to write poems featured in Vikramaditya Motwane's 'Udaan' and lyrics in 'Ferrari Ki Sawaari' and 'Sulemani Keeda'. His directorial debut was a Kashmiri short film 'Tamaash' that won several awards around the world.
Satyanshu started teaching cinema to Mass Media students in colleges affiliated to Mumbai University. He went on to design and conduct screenwriting courses at Anupam Kher's 'Actor Prepares' and more recently, AIB First Draft, an intensive six-month writers' residency program where ten writers from different parts of the country underwent training under him. He has also conducted workshops in Pune, Bangalore, Delhi and Kolkata and at Mumbai's Kala Ghoda Festival and has delivered a TEDx talk at IIM-Indore while preparing to direct his first feature."
