Put the colours back in the Corals

Rising global temperatures, increasing oceanic carbon dioxide, and climate change consequences are dangerously affecting one of the most diverse ecosystems on earth, coral reefs. Though they comprise only about 0.5 percent of the ocean floor, they are a shelter to numerous marine species and beneficial both to natural ecosystems and human existence. These fascinating seascapes are now in danger and they need our attention! 

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya and Avid Learning present a unique workshop that will take you on a journey of using the power of art in putting colours back in corals. This workshop will be led by children's book illustrator, Zainab Tambawalla and will include hands-on activities on understanding the basics of graphic storytelling and illustration. She will be later joined by Uma Mani, A homemaker, artist and protagonist of Coral Woman, a children's illustrated book,who will share her inspiring journey of becoming a certified diver in her 50's and how she dedicated her art to creating awareness about marine conservation
