We believe that architecture is the living extension and physical representation of who we are as a culture and as a people. Mumbai is a treasure trove of architectural heritage, boasting the enigmatic Victorian Gothic ensemble including the CSMT and Art Deco edifices. They form an integral part of the city's cultural ecosystem and can be infinitely enriched with local dialogue and cross-pollination with other cultural contexts. In this respect, we regularly collaborate with architects, local historians, intellectuals, visiting international scholars, and institutions. Whether it's a full-day workshop decoding the motifs, materials, and makers of Deco or a lecture demonstration on radically sustainable plans from Bombay's unbuilt past, or discovering architectural gems and Naval enclaves within a city anchored by the Indian Ocean, our programs actively immerse the enthusiastic participants in celebrating the built heritage and legacy of Mumbai, India, and beyond.
